WHERE THE WILDS MEET THE WELCOMING
Nestled along the Allegheny National Forest, Kane is a vibrant town defined by its natural beauty, thriving craft culture, and unmistakable entrepreneurial energy. Surrounded by forested hills, scenic byways, and endless outdoor opportunities, Kane invites you to slow down, look around, and connect with Pennsylvania’s wild side.

Founded by Civil War General Thomas L. Kane, the town blends historic character with a distinctly modern outlook. Today, that spirit is on full display as artists, makers, and small businesses breathe new life into historic buildings and welcome travelers with open doors and local flavor.

A CREATIVE TOWN CELEBRATING ITS STORY
Public murals and sculptures, along with seasonal festivals transform quiet streets into lively stages, offering visitors a chance to experience the town’s creative pulse firsthand.
Art in the Wilds has been the only juried outdoor fine arts and fine crafts show in the Pennsylvania Wilds, the 13-county region of north central PA, for two decades. This event draws thousands to Kane the last weekend in June.
